Chandrayaan-3: Here’s How Internet Reacted On India’s Successful Moon Landing

India created history after Chandrayaan-3 lander Vikram touched down on the Moon’s south pole on August 23. After this successful landing, India became the fourth country in the world to achieve this feat after the United States, Russia, and China. The proud part is India became the first country in the world to land on the lunar south pole.

After a 40-day journey starting from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, the Chandrayaan-3 mission has landed successfully. More than 1000 scientists of ISRO worked on this mission. Learning from the failure of the previous mission, ISRO took care of all the precautions this time. Reacting to it, the Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO shared the update on X (formerly Twitter), “’ India, I reached and you too!’: Chandrayaan-3’”.

As soon as the lander Vikram touched the surface of the moon at 6.4 minutes, celebrations broke out across the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently in South Africa for the 15th BRICS summit, called it a “historic movement” and said it had sounded the “bugle for a developed India”. He wrote on Twitter, “Historic day for India’s space sector. Congratulations to @isro for the remarkable success of Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission.”

Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi congratulated ISRO on X. He wrote, “Congratulations to Team ISRO for today’s pioneering feat. #Chandrayaan3’s soft landing on the uncharted lunar South Pole is the result of decades of tremendous ingenuity and hard work by our scientific community. Since 1962, India’s space program has continued to scale new heights and inspire generations of young dreamers.”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari termed it a “beacon of inspiration for generations to come”. “Chandrayaan 3 touches down, carving India’s illustrious chapter in celestial history,” he wrote.

Reacting to ISRO’s update on successful landing, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the team and termed it “historical” and called it big achievement for the country.

West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee hailed its stupendous success and congratulated the scientist who made this mission successful. “Hail Chandrayaan-3! Hail its stupendous success!! Hail @isro!! Hail our nation’s magnificent achievement in sending an exploration mission successfully to the Moon!! Our scientists have testified to the country’s scientific and technological progress. India is now in the Super League of space. Sincere congratulations to all the proud architects and stakeholders of the expedition”, she wrote.

 Following the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, social media is flooded with heartfelt wishes from leaders around the world. Pakistan’s Fawad Chaudhry, the ex-Minister of Information and Broadcasting congratulated ISRO on X.

NASA administrator on X congratulated India on a successful landing. He wrote, “Congratulations @isro on your successful  Chandrayaan-3 lunar South Pole landing! And congratulations to #India on being the 4th country to successfully soft-land a spacecraft on the Moon. We’re glad to be your partner on this mission.”

Abdulla Shahid, Foreign Minister of Maldives also congratulated ISRO for the successful landing of Chandrayan 3. 

Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Allu Arjun, also congratulated ISRO for this achievement and called this moment historic.
