This game, impacted by rain, extended to the reserved day, and India secured an impressive 228-run victory at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium. It is essential to highlight that none of them showed the ground staff holding a replica of the Man of the Match award cheque.

It’s important to highlight that in this particular match, the title of Man of the Match was awarded to the former Indian Captain, Virat Kohli, not the Indian Captain Rohit Sharma. If Rohit Sharma had indeed presented the award to the groundsmen, it would probably have garnered media coverage.
