Winter Session Of Parliament From Dec 4-22, 15 Sittings To Be Held In 19 Days

New Delhi: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi announced on Thursday that the Winter Session of Parliament for 2023 is set to commence on December 4th and will continue till December 22nd.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister toon to hi official X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce the winter session dates for the parliament. He wrote, “Winter Session, 2023 of Parliament will commence from 4th December and continue till 22nd December having 15 sittings spread over 19 days. Amid Amrit Kaal looking forward to discussions on Legislative Business and other items during the session.”

During this session, there will be a total of 15 scheduled sittings over a span of 19 days. The winter session will be the last sitting parliament session this year.

Earlier in September, the BJP-led NDA government called a five-day special session of Parliament. In the special session that was held at the recently inaugurated new parliament building, government officials delved into the 75-year legacy of the former parliament structure.

Another important milestone that was achieved during the special session was that both houses of Parliament approved the groundbreaking women’s reservation bill. This bill, which aims to grant a 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies, has been a significant step towards gender equality in Indian politics.
