Hrithik-Jr. NTR Starrer War To Hit Screens On 2025 Independence Day Weekend

Date:

In Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming War 2, the anticipation is soaring as Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR gear up to clash, marking a unique collaboration in the YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik’s cameo in Tiger 3 has only amplified the excitement. The initial shoot wrapped up in Spain last October, and the second schedule is likely to mirror the exotic setting, this time in Abu Dhabi. Initially slated for February 2024, the shoot commencement for Hrithik and Jr. NTR has been officially announced alongside the movie’s release date.

Yash Raj Films (YRF), revealed that War 2 is slated for a grand release during the Independence Day 2025 weekend, hitting theaters on August 14, 2025.

Throwing light on the details of the shoot of the film, a source quoted in a report by Mid-Day had said, ‘NTR Jr is currently shooting for his 30th film, directed by Koratala Siva, and will then begin his first schedule for War 2. Aditya Chopra and Ayan have planned a massive action entry shot for him in the film. Shooting for the portions involving Hrithik and him will commence in February in Mumbai over a month-long schedule. The dramatic portions will be canned first, and will be followed with action sequences.’

Kiara Advani is set to lead alongside these stars, marking the sixth entry in the YRF Spy Universe following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3.
