BJP national executive meet begins Advani may not address party

Date:

Bengaluru: BJP’s first national executive meet under the leadership of party president Amit Shah began in Bengaluru on Friday.

The primary focus of the two-day meet is to strengthen the party in South India. The party will also focus on strategies including on facing the opposition campaign on the Land Bill.

Various programmes initiated by the Modi government in the last 10 months would also be discussed in the meet. However, all the eyes are on party veteran LK Advani, whose name is not mentioned in the list of speakers for the meet.

Advani, one of BJP’s main founding members, has attended and addressed at all national executive meetings of the party since 1980 when the party was founded, except one exception.
