Diabetic girl’s wish to meet woman IAS officer fulfilled

Karimnagar(Telangana): A teenaged girl, who has been suffering from diabetes since childhood, met Smita Sabharwal, Additional Secretary to Telangana Chief, as a mark of her wish to have an interaction with the IAS officer.

Class XI student Sigiri Niharika (15), who is suffering from diabetes since childhood, had expressed her desire to the ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ at Hyderabad that she wanted to meet Sabharwal.

To fulfil her wish and to boost her confidence, the foundation informed about it to Sabharwal who met the girl at her house in Pegadapalli mandal headquarters here yesterday, a public relations release said here.

After meeting the girl, Sabharwal said she was very happy to see Niharika and that she will extend all possible cooperation for her further studies.

Another Secretary from the Telangana CM’s office, Priyanka Werghese and others were present on the occasion.
