Stade Francais-Munster European Cup match postponed

Date:

Stade Francais have postponed their European Cup pool match against Munster on Sunday so as not to add to the workload of public and law enforcement services in Paris.

“Following the recent tragic events, Stade Francais Paris does not wish to weigh down or complicate the job of the government and police by organising a sporting event attended by 15,000 people at the Stade Jean Bouin,” the Top 14 club said in a statement.

“The club has therefore decided to postpone the Stade Francais Paris-Munster match which was initially due to take place on Sunday, November 22 at 4.30pm (1530 GMT).”

European Champions Cup organisers decided to postpone all pool matches scheduled to be held on French soil last weekend after Friday’s terror attacks in Paris that left at least 129 dead and more than 350 injured.
