For KJo, gay mockery is a no-go

Date:

Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has always been known for his witty and humorous attitude, but if you mess with him, he won’t spare you, that’s for sure.

Recently, when the entire world hailed the US Supreme Court’s decision declaring the same-sex marriage legal nationwide, a Tiwitterati decided to pull out a joke on Karan which was not humorous at all.

Karan, who is known for his sassy ways and taking humour to another level, was furious after being mocked on the micro-blogging site about his sexuality following legalisation of same-sex marriages in the US.

A user on Twitter took a jibe at the filmmaker’s sexuality with his post that read: “#Rumors: @KaranJohar to get married soon in USA.”
This got Karan fuming and saddened at the same time.

Retweeting the link, Karan posted: “It’s so sad and disgusting when a major breakthrough movement is made into a mockery by some on Twitter!! Shame.”
Homosexuality remains illegal in India after the Supreme Court in 2013 upheld Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code.

On professional front, Karan is soon going to start his upcoming project Shhudhi starring his favourite students Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.
