Terrorists attack Army camp in J&K’s Tangdhar, 1 jawan killed

Tangdhar: A group of heavily armed Pakistan-backed terrorists attacked an Army camp at Tangdhar near Line of Control (LoC) in the wee hours of Wednesday killing one Army jawan and a civilian.

The incident took place in the Kupawar district of J&K, which prompted the armed forces to retaliate in equal measures.

At around 7.40 on Wednesday morning, three to four heavily armed terrorists entered the camp near the Line of Control and opened fire. The terrorists also threw grenades. An army oil depot also caught fire.

The army has launched a counter offensive. There are about 80 soldiers in the base.
