Dacoits loot passengers in Jharkhand

Dhanbad (Jharkhand) Aug 24 (PTI) Six dacoits lootedpassengers and injured two of them on board theRanchi-Jainagar Express near Chandrapura station of EastCentral Rail Zone, railway police said today. Armed with pistol and sharp weapons, the dacoitsstormed the S-2 coach after disconnecting the coupling afterthe train moved out from Chandrapura Railway Station underDhanbad rail division last night, a complaint lodged with theGRP said. They escaped after looting five passengers. The injured persons identified as Keshav Chaudhary ofManigachhi block of Darbanga district and Usha Devi ofJhanjharpur block of Madhubani districts of Bihar havereceived knife injury on their palm and ear respectively. They lodged their complaint at Dhanbad GRP after thetrain reached here. A GRP official said investigations are on. PTI COR MMDV
