Haryana Govt notifies society for Golden Jubilee celebrations

Chandigarh, Aug 25 (PTI) As part of the preparations forthe upcoming Golden Jubilee Year celebrations of Haryana, thestate government has notified a society that will undertakeconceptualisation, planning, design, execution and developmentof various programmes for the occasion. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would be the Presidentand Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij will be theVice-President of Swaran Jayanti Celebrations Authority ofHaryana, an official spokesman said today. It will have its registered office in Panchkula. The society will encourage the private sector to takeup various programmes during the Golden Jubilee year andcontribute to the programmes. It would encourage and support local bodies and PanchayatiRaj institutions to take up various programmes during the yearand involve mass participation, he said. Besides, various programmes would be organised for thepromotion of brand image of Haryana, its glorious art andculture, rich heritage and history, progress and development,literature and language within the country and abroad, thespokesman said. It would also execute various policies, programmes anddecisions taken by the state level Swaran Jayanti CelebrationCommittee. PTI SUN MNG SMJMNG
