passport: Police Ghaziabad, Aug 28 (PTI) Two Bangladeshi nationals weretoday arrested for allegedly trying to procure passports bysubmitting fake documents, police said. "Khalid Hussain and Sagar Khan hailing from Chand Pur andBagerhat districts of Bangladesh had applied for passport withfake Voter ID and Aadhaar card," SP City Salman Taj Patilsaid. The duo visited the local intelligence unit (LIU) officeto know the status of police verification of their documents. After going through the documents, officers of LIU foundthat they were forged and detained them following which theywere handed over to Sihani Gate police station, the SP said. Patil said police are probing the case and trying toascertain who helped the accused in obtaining fake documents. Legal action will be initiated against all errantpolicemen and other persons involved in the racket, he said. An FIR has been registered against the accused. PTI CORIKA SCIKA
