Muzaffarnagar, Aug 29 (PTI) Three persons were arrestedfor allegedly smuggling cattle for slaughter in Shahpur areaof the district, police said today. Carcasses of 16 cattle were recovered from a truck atHarsoli village yesterday. Cattle had died of suffocation, said Naresh Yadav,in-charge of Harsoli police post. The accused were identified as Upender Singh, Kulwant andAsif, he said, adding they were allegedly smuggling the cattlefrom Punjab. PTI CORR RCJ DVRCJ
