Boy jumps into Jhelum during clashes, feared dead

Srinagar, Sep 1 (PTI) An 11-year-old boy was feared deadafter he jumped into the Jhelum river during clashes betweenprotesters and security forces in Noor Bagh area of the citytoday, police said. Danish Haroon jumped into the river this evening when agroup of protesters was chased by security forces, a policeofficer said. He said efforts were on to trace him but chances of hissurvival are bleak. The 11-year-old is feared to have drowned, he added. PTIMIJSMN
