2 militants arrested In Manipur

Imphal, Sep 3 (PTI) Two militants belonging to outlawedNSCN-K were arrested by a combined team of Manipur police,Assam Rifles and Army. The forces picked up the two – identified as Kabigaiand Nunkhaolung both from Sibilong village of Manipur’sTamenglong district – on August 30. They were suspected to be involved in snatching of 2Ak 47 rifles, 2 INSAS rifles with ammunition from the escortparty of Manipur Rifles (MR) on August 29 last at Sibilongvillage and escaping in a SUV from the spot. In subsequent search operation by a combined team ofManipur police, Assam Rifles and Army in the thick forest ofSibilong and Chingkhonglong in Tamenglong distric on the sameday, the forces could recover the abandoned vehicle and laterarrested two militants who were involved in the snatching ofarms and ammunition. Police registered a case against arrested twomilitants and investigations are going on, the same sourceadded. PTI COR SUSSUS
