Fisherman missing after boat capsizes, two rescued

Rameswaram (TN), Sep 3 (PTI) One person who ventured outto sea today for fishing was reported missing while two otherswere rescued after their boat capsized 12 nautical miles offthe Pamban coast near here, marine police said. The fishermen had put out to sea from Devipattinamcoastal hamlet in Ramanathapuram district last evening. Theirboat capsized leaving them stranded for several hours waitingfor help, they said. However, a group of fishermen who were passing by managedto rescue Manikandan and Mohammed Ayub Khan and brought to theshore at Mandapam. They were admitted to the goverment hospital, policesaid. Mandapam Marine Police are carrying out searchoperations to locate Appavu. PTI COR ROH RCBSATRK
