Successive governments’ responsible for present situation in

Kashmir Jammu, Sep 5 (PTI) Taking a dig at separatists for their"anti-Kashmiriyat behaviour", Chamber of Commerce of Jammu(CCIJ) today blamed successive governments’ in the state forthe present situation in Kashmir and said authorities shouldnot allow hate speeches delivered from mosques against thesecurity forces in the Valley. "We have told the delegation that it is the result offailure and non-deliverance of successive governments in thestate due which it has led to the present turmoil. We hopethey will take measures to rectify the mistakes," CCIJpresident Rakesh Gupta told reporters this evening. On the question of separatists refusing to meet all-partydelegation members, he said, "I cannot say whether they took agood or bad decision but even if enemy comes homes, he shouldhave been welcomed by a cup of tea. It was wrong on the partof the separatists not to open the doors for the delegationmembers," he said. CCIJ asked the visiting delegation to ensure that "mosquesin Kashmir should not be allowed to deliver hate speeches." "The issue of use of mosques for hate speeches was putforth and we asked them to ensure that religious places(mosques) should not be used for delivering provocativespeeches against our security forces and asking the people toattack them," Gupta said. "Jammu and Kashmir is a sensitive state and we requestedthem not to utter any such words or issue statements that addfuel to fire which most people have been doing till now," hesaid. Gupta said, "We asked the major Opposition parties inIndia as to why they did not condole and condemn the attackson our security forces and the deaths of soldiers. There is nospace for playing politics in Jammu and Kashmir and we requestall political parties to help restore normalcy here and play apositive role". "We condemn the statement of Dr Karan Singh, demanding theimposition of Governor rule in the state and we ask him aswhat good has he done for the people of the state which wasmost loved and taken care of well by his father andforefathers," he said. CCIJ rejected the trifurcation of the state and said, "Weare not in favour of trifurcation but if the administrationcan’t control the situation and deliver, then what choice willthe Jammu people be left with and why should people of Ladakhand Jammu suffer who have always stood with the nation". Gupta said the strength of the security forces was notenough to contain the mobs and requested the centre to deploy"additional Central forces on permanent basis in the state.PTI AB AQS RGAQS
