Heavy rains, wind likely in parts of Odisha till tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, Sep 7 (PTI) Heavy rainfall coupled withgusty surface wind is likely over some parts of Odisha tilltomorrow due to a low pressure, while fishermen have beenasked not to venture into the sea as its condition will berough. YesterdayÂ’s Low Pressure area over Bangladesh andadjoining Gangetic West Bengal now lies over the Gangetic WestBengal and adjoining areas of Jharkhand, the meteorologicalcentre here said. Under its impact, rain or thundershower is likely tooccur at many places over north Odisha and at a few placesover south Odisha during till tomorrow, it said. The system is likely to trigger heavy rainfall at oneor two places over districts of interior Odisha till tomorrow. Gusty surface wind from Northwesterly direction withspeed reaching 45-55 KMPH gusting up to 65 KMPH would prevailalong and off South Odisha coast. Sea condition would be roughto very rough, the MeT office said advising fishermen not toventure into the sea in South Odisha coast. PTI SKN PRTIRPD
