Truck driver dies after coming under wheels of another truck

\ New Delhi, Oct 28 (PTI) In a freak accident, a truck\driver was crushed to death after he came under the wheels of\another truck while escaping after hitting the same truck and\a PCR van in Alipur area of outer Delhi early this morning.\ Police said truck driven by Laxman Yadav was coming from\the border and it hit another truck that was coming from\Mukarba Chowk and turning towards Lavanya farmhouse, near\Shani Mandir in Alipur, around 4.35 am. It also hit a PCR van\injuring two policemen.\ Eye witnesses told police, that Laxman jumped out of his\truck after the accident and tried to flee from the spot.\Meanwhile, the other truck that he had hit came from behind\and crushed him under its rear wheel.\ The injured policemen were rushed to Raja Harish Chandra\Hospital for treatment. Body of Laxman was sent for autopsy at\Jagijivan Ram hospital by the cops who reached there after\getting information of the accident.\ A case was registered under charges of rash driving and\causing death by negligence at Alipur police station and\driver of the other truck Jagdish Chand as well as cleaner of\the deceased driver\\’s truck were questioned by the police,\said a senior police officer.\ Jagdish Prasad has been arrested, he added.
