Bihar minister’s son critical after ragging

Date:

New Delhi: The son of Bihar cooperatives minister Jai Kumar Singh was admitted to a hospital here in critical condition after he was ragged in school, the victim’s father said.

“My son’s condition is critical. Right now I am not in a position to say anything. From whatever I have got to know from the local guardian in Gwalior, it seems that my son has become a victim of ragging,” Singh said.

According to the hospital report, 14-year-old Adarsh Kumar was on Thursday morning admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital at Sarita Vihar in southeast Delhi in a very critical condition.

Adarsh Kumar is a student of Class IX at a boarding school at Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

Doctors in the hospital said Kumar is in a very critical condition and is under constant observation.

“He is being provided appropriate medical care by a competent multi-disciplinary team of senior consultant doctors and is under constant monitoring and observation on ventilator support in the ICU,” said a doctor from the hospital.
