New Delhi: Politicians welcomed cabinet’s decision to grant reservation to Jat community, which had been a longstanding demand of the farming community. The cabinet ministers approved reservation of seats for the Jat community, providing them an opportunity to get reserved seats in educational institutions and government job openings. Politicos struggling for the reservation for the Jat community welcomed the decision and expressed gratitude. Meanwhile, Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh, announced three major decisions about the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the most important being the granting of special status to the successor state, Seemandhra.
