Anna to campaign for Mamatas TMC

Date:

Ralegaon Siddhi: Social activist Anna Hazare on Monday said he would campaign for Trinamool Congress in the Lok Sabha elections if West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee agrees to work on a 17-point nationalist programme suggested by him.

“I wrote a letter to every party asking them whether they are ready to work on 17 issues that India is facing today. No political party is thinking about changing the economic system. Only Mamata Banerjee agreed to implement those 17 agendas if voted to power,” said Hazare.

“We will meet on Tuesday to discuss how to go about the 17-point programme in detail,” he added. The Gandhian activist refused to comment on erstwhile co-campaigner Arvind Kejriwal’s stand on corruption but added the former Delhi Chief Minister should present proper proof before calling anyone corrupt.
