He announced at an editorial meeting that he has resigned. He told his team that he will start something on his own. Sources told NewsMobile that Arnab will start a new media entity which will become the “floatilla of journalism with journalists driving the entity, it has also received funding.”

Those who have known Arnab for many years, know that at the heart he is a journalist who has the DNA of a true scribe who wanted to get into the bottom of every story.
He was always opposed to big business driven journalism, where journalists were just employees employed to do a job.

For Arnab who came from the grassroots to create a niche for himself the new entity will also provide him creative freedom, which he always wanted to do.

In the last few years, Arnab created a media entity which became the pit stop for a huge Prime Time audience in the country, those who liked him and those who couldn’t digest his aggressive style. Media analysts believe that they will find his loyal fanbase shifting over to the new entity that Arnab will head.

The new entity that Arnab will create will be a television channel, which will have the motto of journalist first, with investigative journalism finding a prominent role in the new setup.

With the credibility and brand Arnab associated with it, it is already well funded, sources told NewsMobile. For Arnab it is a new challenge that he is taking in the prime of his career, but those who know him realize that he has never run away from challenges and this one promises to be an exciting one.
