Kolkata: Urjit Patel , The Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), was, on Thursday, heckled by the Congress workers at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata.
Congress workers showed black flags to the RBI Governor. They raised slogan “Urjit Patel go back”. The security officials arranged to accompany the RBI Governor inside the airport.

This was the first visit of Urjit Patel to Kolkata after being delegated as the RBI Governor. Earlier in a similar incident, he was shown black flags by Trinamool Congress supporters outside the regional RBI office in the city.
Urjit Patel was visiting Kolkata to attend a central board meeting following demonetisation. Earlier, in the day, CM Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers assembled outside the RBI office and began shouting slogans ‘Go back Urjit.’
