The 2017 Detroit Auto Show opened with a bang for Audi, as the German auto giant’s Q8 created more hype at the premier auto show than any new model launches.
Audi took the wraps off their Q8 concept on the first day of the NAIAS in Detroit and it seems like it was worth the hype.

“The Q8 concept is an Audi in peak form.” says Dietmar Voggenreiter, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at Audi. He goes further to say, “It demonstrates the strengths of our brand in both technology and design while providing a glimpse at a future full-size, production SUV.” And looking at the Q8 concept, what he says sounds very much true.
The concept is much more aggressive design wise. It carries a huge octagonal grille at front with strangely shaped sharp LED headlamps. With the roof floating downwards at the rear it gets a coupe-like profile that doesn’t let us realise that it actually is longer and wider than the 2nd generation Q7 SUV. Aggressive attitude continues at the rear too with sleek and sharp LED taillamps and a roof mounted spoiler. The concept stands on big 23-inch wheels.
