Mercedes-Benz E-Class has finally gone on sale in India

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has finally gone on sale in India at a base price of ₹ 56.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is the 5th generation E-Class that has been launched in India and it comes in the long-wheelbase (LWD) guise. In fact, India is the first market in the world to get the right-hand-drive (RWD) version of the LWD E-Class. Mercedes-Benz India has launched both the petrol and diesel variants of the car – E200 and E350d, which is priced at ₹ 70.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the absolute best selling model for the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer in India. It represents a segment that is considered highly crucial by all the premium players and the E-Class has so far accounted for almost 34% of sales in the company’s over two-decade history in the country. Now, with the new-generation long-wheelbase model, Mercedes-Benz India is taking the E-Class to the next level.

The car is loaded with luxurious and comfortable features along with a host of techs and a generous amount of space at the rear. While it is meant to be a chauffeur-driven car, but the driving comfort and ride quality will make you feel at home even in the driver’s seat.

Apart from comfortable reclining back seats, the cabin is also loaded with several features like – a panoramic roof, a 13-speaker Burmester sound system, 12.3-inch media display screen that now gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity, and a piano black center console with a touch pad and other controls. Even the steering has a new touchpad control for the multimedia and car settings.
