In 2013, an Andheri court issued a warrant against the actor after listening to Shakil’s complaint. Dutt was later granted bail in this case. The filmmaker had alleged that the actor had failed to complete the movie for which he was working “Jaan Ki Baazi” despite signing amount of Rs. 50 lakh.

Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association, acting on Noorani’s complaint, had directed Dutt to pay up Rs.2 crore for losses incurred. According to the reports, Noorani then approached the Bombay High Court seeking to execute an order passed by IMPPA against Dutt. Noorani later also reportedly claimed that he started getting threat calls which were traced to Dubai and Karachi. Dutt’s lawyers, however, rubbished such claims.
