New Delhi: Counting day is finally here in the northeast states of Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya. After pitched campaigning involving national parties as well as regional powers, Tripura went to polls on the February 18, while voting in Meghalaya and Nagaland was held on February 27. Elections were held for 59 seats each in the three northeast states.
10 parents jailed by Hyderabad court for letting minors drive bikes
A special magistrate’s court in Hyderabad ordered 10 parents behind bars for a day for allowing their minor children to drive motorcycles in the city.
A penalty of Rs 500 was also slapped on the parents under Section 180 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
