Battle for Karnataka: Bengaluru’s development stuck in traffic jam, says Amit Shah

Date:

Referring to the pain point of every person living in Bengaluru, BJP President Amit Shah said the city’s development is stuck in the chaotic traffic jam. “Bengaluru’s traffic is halting the development of Karnataka. In the last five years, least importance was given to the development of infrastructure,” he said addressing a gathering of businessmen in the city, referring to Bengaluru as “one of the highest revenue generating cities in the country”.

He also met party workers and people from other walks of life. “None of the development works takes off or gets completed without paying commission,” Shah claimed, according to reports. He told BJP workers that coming elections were crucial in the march towards ensuring a ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’.

Meanwhile, the Congress hit out at the BJP on Thursday, accusing it of “lies, deceit and a blame game bereft of morality”.

On Tuesday night Union Minister Hegde’s convoy was hit by a truck near Ranebennur in Haveri district, when he was travelling from Sirsi to Bengaluru, injuring a policeman. The minister immediately took to Twitter to claim it was an attempt on his life. Several BJP leaders also claimed foul play in the accident.
