On May 3, late actress Sridevi was honoured with the Best Actress award posthumously for her 300th film Mom. And to receive the award the Chandni actress’ family had flown down to the capital on Wednesday.
The ace designer took to his social media account to post a picture of Janhvi and wrote, “The very pretty Janhvi Kapoor as she goes to receive Sridevi ma’am’s much deserved National Award for her fabulous performance in MOM. An actress and a human being and the friend that we all miss every day of our life’s. Janhvi Kapoor in her mom’s personal saree for this emotional and precious moment.”
Their younger daughter Khushi was seen in traditional pattu pavadaI, while Boney Kapoor was seen in a safari suit.
On April 13 after the late actress was mentioned on the winners list Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to post an emotional note thanking the star’s fans, friends and family for showing their support.
He wrote:
“We are overjoyed to know that the Jury has conferred the Best Actor Award to Sridevi for her performance in ‘MOM’. It’s a very special moment for all of us.
She was always a perfectionist and it showed in all the 300 plus films she did. She was not just a Super Actor but a Super Wife and a Super Mom.
It’s time to celebrate her life and her achievements. She is not with us today but her legacy will always live on.
We thank the Government of India, the Hon’ble Jury Members for this honor. We also take this opportunity to thank all our friends, her fans who have been sending us congratulatory messages.
