New Dekhi: An AI-powered app named PadhAI achieved an impressive score of over 170 out of 200 in the 2024 UPSC preliminary exams, completing the entire paper in under seven minutes. This remarkable accomplishment positions PadhAI among the top 10 national scores and potentially secures the top rank, as per an official statement.
Developed by a team of IIT graduates, PadhAI showcased its capabilities at a public event held on Sunday at The Lalit hotel in Delhi, immediately following the official UPSC exam. The event was attended by guests from the education sector, UPSC officials, and media professionals.
During the demonstration, PadhAI swiftly solved the entire exam within less than seven minutes, a feat broadcast live on livestream.padhai.ai and YouTube. The questions and answers from the event are now available for public review.
To verify PadhAI’s performance, its responses were compared with those generated by major AI models from companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google, using answer keys from leading coaching institutes. This achievement marks the highest score recorded in the past decade of UPSC exams.
Reflecting on the event’s significance, Karttikeya Mangalam, CEO of PadhAI, commented, “This is a groundbreaking achievement. We foresee that similar events will become common as educational institutions increasingly leverage AI to solve exams quickly and accurately.”
PadhAI is an AI-driven education app tailored for UPSC preparation, accessible on the Google Play Store. It offers a suite of AI features, including news summaries, intelligent searches of previous year questions, doubt resolution, interactive answer explanations, and book summaries.
