Instagram Introduces Replace Audio Feature For Old Posts

Date:

Instagram has introduced a new Replace Audio feature, allowing users to change the music on already published feed posts and carousel posts without deleting or re-uploading them. The update is now available globally, including India.

Earlier, users had to remove and repost content if the original audio became unavailable, often losing likes, comments, shares and overall reach. With the new feature, users can simply edit an existing post, select Replace Audio, choose a new track from Instagram’s music library and save the changes while keeping all engagement intact.

The feature is designed to help creators, brands and regular users update older posts with new or trending music without affecting their performance. It also allows users to replace outdated or removed tracks and refresh promotional content without starting from scratch.

Instagram says the update makes it easier to keep content relevant while preserving existing engagement. The feature is part of the platform’s continued focus on improving tools for creators and helping them manage content more efficiently.
