OpenAI has introduced a new $100-per-month ChatGPT subscription aimed at developers and power users, filling a long-missing middle tier in its pricing structure.
The move comes as demand grows for more advanced and sustained usage options across its AI tools. With this addition, the company’s subscription lineup now spans from a free tier (which now includes ads), an $8 Go plan, a $20 Plus plan, the new $100 tier, and a $200 Pro plan.
OpenAI has also expanded Codex usage under the new tier, offering five times the usage available in the $20 Plus plan, making it better suited for longer, more intensive coding sessions.
Alongside this, third-party integrations such as OpenClaw will no longer fall under standard subscription limits and will instead shift to a separate pay-as-you-go billing model, reflecting a broader change in how external tool usage is managed.
The update underscores OpenAI’s push to balance accessibility with monetization as usage scales.
