OpenAI has launched a new iOS app, ChatGPT for Intune, designed for enterprises and educational institutions that use Microsoft Intune to manage devices and applications. The app is aimed at organisations that require strict IT controls, compliance, and secure access to AI tools on iPhones and iPads running iOS 17.0 or later.
Unlike the standard ChatGPT app, this version allows organisations to enforce security policies, control data usage, and meet internal compliance requirements while enabling AI access in managed environments. It also supports chat history sync across iPhone and iPad for seamless usage.
The app includes several AI-powered features such as content drafting for emails and reports, advanced voice mode for real-time interaction, file and photo uploads for document analysis, and summarisation tools for condensing long texts. It also offers image generation from prompts and interactive learning tools like quizzes and step-by-step explanations.
Available on the App Store, ChatGPT for Intune is free to download and is designed for workplaces and classrooms where only approved applications are permitted. OpenAI said the launch expands ChatGPT’s use in secure environments, enabling productivity for employees and enhanced learning support for students while maintaining organisational data control and security standards.
