Czech auto manufacturer, Skoda, may launch the facelifted Octavia in India by early July. The facelift will feature an updated front end styling that will incorporate a new quad headlamp design. As with most facelifts, there are other minor design tweaks to the Octavia, including refreshed bumpers.
The refreshed Octavia will use the same engines as the outgoing model but will feature additional kit such as a hands-free parking function, updated smartphone integration and a driver fatigue monitoring system. Consumers will also get an option for a larger touchscreen infotainment system.
Skoda is also expected to launch the Octavia vRS sports variant later in the year around October. The vRS will feature a 230hp, 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine, aggressive body kits, and larger alloy rims along with an update suspension setup.
The Skoda Octavia will compete against the recently refreshed Toyota Corolla Altis and the new Hyundai Elantra.
