Zomato Cofounder And Chief People Officer Akriti Chopra Resigns

One of our favourite food delivery app- Zomato’s co-founder and chief people officer Akriti Chopra has resigned immediately, the company informed the stock exchange on September 27. 

After 13 years, Chopra resigned; in 2021, her position was elevated to that of the cofounder ahead of the company’s initial public offering (IPO). 

Who is Akriti Chopra?

Chopra joined Zomato in November 2011. She started her journey as a senior manager of finance and operations. 

Through the years, she served as a vice president of finance & operations and CFO.

She became the Head of People Development in October 2020 and the chief people officer (CPO) in June 2021.

Before joining Zomato, she worked with PwC for three years in the tax and regulatory practice.
