New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) yesterday started operating an exclusive token counter at the Airport Metro station of the Airport Express Line to sell tokens and smart cards for journey from New Delhi station to all other metro lines.
“Airport Express Line passengers who wish to board the train from New Delhi Metro station (Line 2) of HUDA City Centre to Jahangirpuri line for onward journey can now purchase tokens/smart cards from Airport Metro station itself,” a DMRC spokesperson said.
This will help in saving time and smoother travel for passengers boarding the train at Airport Metro station and then using other DMRC Lines, he said.
Earlier, commuters had to queue up twice for purchasing tokens or cards, first at the Airport station and then again at the New Delhi metro station.
