Mumbai: The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called for a high-level investigation into the death of television actress Sanchita Ugale, who was found dead at her residence in Nalasopara, Mumbai, in an alleged suicide case.

Sanchita, known for her work in shows such as Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, was a rising talent in the entertainment industry. Following her death, AICWA expressed concern over the circumstances surrounding the incident and urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to ensure a transparent inquiry.

AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta stated that every possible aspect of the case should be examined before reaching any conclusion. The association noted that the actress had recently been building a successful career, making the incident a matter of concern for the industry.

The organization also highlighted that Sanchita had shared an Instagram Story featuring the song “Dapli Wale Dapli Baja” just hours before news of her death surfaced.

In its statement, AICWA also urged authorities to consider forming a dedicated committee to address the growing number of deaths and mental health-related concerns within the entertainment sector.
