Mumtaz, Bollywood’s iconic actress from the 60s and 70s, faced breast cancer in 2002 at the age of 50. After undergoing multiple chemotherapy sessions and radiation treatments, she successfully overcame the disease. Today, she continues to inspire as a vocal advocate for breast cancer survivors.
Tahira Kashyap, writer and director and wife of actor Ayushmann Khurrana, faced her breast cancer diagnosis in 2018. Instead of hiding her experience, she documented her journey, including the physical and emotional challenges, to inspire women worldwide to embrace early detection without shame.
