A behind-the-scenes video from Jailer 2 has surfaced online, triggering concern among the film’s team and prompting swift action from the makers. The clip, reportedly shot on set, spread rapidly across social media platforms before being taken down.
Production house Sun Pictures acknowledged the leak in an official statement, confirming that their anti-piracy team is actively tracking the circulation of the footage. The team has initiated measures to remove the content and identify accounts involved in sharing or promoting it.
The makers also issued a clear advisory to fans, media outlets, and fan clubs, urging them not to repost or engage with the leaked material. They warned that such actions could lead to account restrictions or suspensions, adding that the production house will not be responsible for any resulting consequences.
This incident comes shortly after a similar piracy case involving Jana Nayagan, where an unreleased version of the film was leaked online. Authorities later arrested multiple individuals linked to that breach, highlighting ongoing concerns around content security in the industry.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, which performed exceptionally well at the global box office. The film sees Rajinikanth reprise his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with several prominent actors expected to feature in key roles.
With the film nearing completion, the makers are now focused on tightening security and preventing further leaks ahead of its official release announcement.
