The makers of Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story have unveiled the first-look poster of Rajkummar Rao as former India captain Sourav Ganguly on the cricket legend’s 54th birthday. Along with the poster, the team confirmed that the much-awaited biopic will hit theatres worldwide on May 14, 2027.
The striking first-look recreates Ganguly’s unforgettable shirt-waving celebration from the Lord’s balcony after India’s historic NatWest Trophy triumph over England in 2002—a moment that became one of the most iconic images in Indian cricket and symbolised a fearless new era under his leadership.

The film also stars Tanya Maniktala as Dona Ganguly, with their relationship expected to be an important part of the narrative. Veteran Bengali actors Aparajita Adhya and Saswata Chatterjee will portray Ganguly’s parents, adding authenticity to the story’s Bengali roots.
Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T-Series, Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on May 14, 2027.
