What began as one of Bollywood’s most closely watched casting developments around Don 3 now appears to be moving towards possible resolution. The film, backed by Excel Entertainment and directed by Farhan Akhtar, saw Ranveer Singh stepping away amid reported creative differences.
According to media reports, Ranveer Singh is now willing to return his reported ₹10 crore signing amount, a development that is being seen as an attempt to ease tensions between the two sides. While there is no official confirmation from the actor or the production house, the move has added a fresh angle to the ongoing speculation.
Reports also suggest that Ranveer has offered Excel Entertainment a stake in his upcoming project, tentatively titled Pralaay. However, the structure or details of this proposed arrangement have not been disclosed.
The dispute reportedly began after differences emerged over the script and creative direction of Don 3. The project had already generated significant buzz as the next chapter in the franchise, making the fallout a major topic of discussion in the industry. Earlier reports had also indicated that Excel Entertainment was seeking compensation of around ₹40 crore, citing pre-production costs and delays.
As the situation escalated, there were also reports that the Producers Guild of India may have been involved in mediation efforts. Meanwhile, rumours of Aamir Khan stepping in were later denied by him.
With no official statements from the key parties, the future of Don 3 remains unclear.
