Veteran Telugu actor Pavala Shyamala passed away while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad. She was 75. According to reports, she suffered a heart attack and breathed her last at 1:52 am on Tuesday.
Shyamala had been dealing with heart-related health problems for some time. Her death comes weeks after she was reportedly found on the streets of Hyderabad after being abandoned by a cab driver. She was later admitted to RK Foundation for care.
The veteran actor, known for playing supporting roles in several Telugu films, had been facing financial difficulties in recent years. Her situation came into public focus after reports claimed she was unable to afford hospital expenses and was sent back from a hospital before being found on the streets.
A statement confirmed that she had been battling multiple health issues and died during treatment at Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad.
“Doctors officially confirmed that she died after suffering a massive heart attack at 1:52 am on Tuesday,” a spokesperson confirmed the actor’s death in a statement.
