Mumbai:Â Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has become the most popular Indian celebrity on Twitter, after Salman Khan (15 million followers), with more than 10 million followers.
The 71-year-old actor hit the milestone on the micro-blogging site, leaving behind stars like Shah Rukh Khan (8.74 million), Aamir Khan (8.13 million), Salman Khan (7.99 million) and Priyanka Chopra (6.8million).
The KBC host, who keeps sharing moments from his personal and professional life online, had personally replied to his fans directly on his Twitter page. “10 MILLION!! On Twitter!! Yeeahh!! Thank you all that follows me..! Next target 20!.â€
The actor joined Twitter in May 2010 and has put out 33,200 tweets since then.
