Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Half girlfriend’ this is what Shradha’s favourite in the movie

Date:

Half Girlfriend is an upcoming romantic movie based on the novel penned down by Chetan Bhagat, casting Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles. The film is directed and produced by Mohit Suri and is all set to release on 19th May 2017.

Addressing the media, Shraddha Kapoor told NewsMobile when asked about her favourite dialogue in the movie:
“There are amazing dialogues in the movie, but one dialogue is there which I tell to Madhav: ‘Jo hum kehte hai wo important hota hai, kis bhasha me kehte hai wo nahi’. In my perspective this one dialogue says everything and is connected with our plot and the story.”

Meanwhile 2 states actor Arjun Kapoor, candidly replied when NewsMobile asked him that he has acted in both the movies based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel- 2 states and half girlfriend, whom did he like the most working with Shraddha Kapoor or Alia Bhatt, for which he replied “Why would I compare?” To which Mohit Suri, the director of the film, interrupted and said “He likes Chetan Bhagat the most”, Arjun Kapoor replied to this as “ Yes Chetan Bhagat is my Half Girlfriend, but I don’t want to compare as we are human beings not race horses.”

While talking about the character Arjun also said that Madhav narrates a dialogue “To kya hua agar hum use paa nahi paye, hum uske sath ek pal bhi bita paye na to hum manenge humne apni puri jindagi jee li, where do you find characters like that who inspire you and motivate you, even as an actor to come and say what I would like to put out to a young boy is to see and believe you always do not have to be obsessive and maniac about a girl, you have to find out other ways to love and nurture a relationship.”

Adding to it Arjun Kapoor speaks about the movie “Half Girlfriend is unique from the perspective about the fact that the language barrier comes in the way of society not from the equation of the boy and the girl, there are other circumstances that don’t allow her to communicate.”

Asking about the plagiarism controversy that just happened when a Bengaluru- based author claimed that Chetan Bhagat has copied One Indian Girl from her book Life, Odds and Ends, to which Chetan Bhagat replied:
“They also have to understand that I write fiction novels and I have also changed the names and places in the book which was printed in Hindi to avoid confusion, the novel is not connected with that novel at all and that is also being settled”

At the last Chetan Bhagat has a message for you all and for all of his readers:
“We have made an honest effort but obviously I am not saying that we are bigger than the reader’s imagination, it’s an adaptation not a remake, but readers who have already read the book will have a wonderful experience of how they have bought the characters beautifully, and if you have not read the book, also you know that there is a story that did so well is coming on the big screens.”
