Ever since the first look of Hindi Medium was unveiled, the viewers started to guess what the film has in store for them.
The film depicts Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar as a young couple struggling to fit in a society where the yardstick for a person’s intelligence is their knowledge of English language.
“My life is Hindi but my wife is English,” says an irritated Irrfan trying to keep up with his wife’s changing personality and the struggle to get his daughter admitted in a modern-day private school.
The film’s trailer subtly takes a dig at today’s hi-fi educational institutions and gives out an important message.
Directed by Saket Chaudhary, Hindi Medium is slated to release on May 12.
