The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival is taking place now, from May 14 to May 25. Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu serves as the jury president. American film director Jim Jarmusch’s ensemble zombie comedy film The Dead Don’t Die served as the opening film of the festival. The festival honoured French filmmaker Agnès Varda, featuring her on the official poster of the festival.
