Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor will be seen in a special role in actress-filmmaker Nandita Das’ “Manto”.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays the lead role of Saadat Hasan Manto, today took to Twitter to thank Rishi for joining the cast.

“It was indeed a pleasure sharing the screen with @chintskap Sir. What an amazing energy you possess even now,” he wrote.

The 64-year-old actor also thanked Nawaz and expressed a desire to work with him in future.

Om Puri was supposed to play a character in the film, but the actor passed away earlier this year and there can be a possibility that Rishi has replaced him in the movie.
“Manto” also stars Rasika Dugal in the role of the writer’s wife Safiyah.
