Thar,’ this week’s major OTT release, started streaming on May 6th. The Netflix original, starring a father-son duo, is an action-thriller with a unique aesthetic that audiences have been waiting for.
Featuring Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor in the lead roals, ‘Thar’ is written and directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary with dialogues by Anurag Kashyap, set in the Rajasthan around the border village of Munabao.
Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jitendra Joshi, Akshay Oberoi, Satish Kaushik, and Mukti Mohan, are also playing key roles.

#Thar belongs to Westerner genre with a #QuentinTarantino feel to it. The rocky desert adds so much to this layered suspenseful drama that has @HarshKapoor_ deliver his best act. He speaks with silences while @AnilKapoor brings his characteristic swag that only he can ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 pic.twitter.com/hmT3xeruTO

Thar’s world-building is exquisite. Gore may be at its core, but it scores as a story of revenge & retribution. Quite watchable. Great act from @AnilKapoor & I particularly liked @HarshKapoor_ with his ‘Man with no name’ vibe. Full review in tomorrow’s @t2telegraph pic.twitter.com/Se4YMb0V0B

#TharReview just loved the canvas. Excellent cinematography, gory, creepy and some real raw cinema. @AnilKapoor rocks @HarshKapoor_ almost no dialogues but the look says it all. Kudos @NetflixIndia this is real cinema and not #KGFChapter2

Thar: This might be the best neo-Western I have seen in recent times. It’s dark, violent, and engaging. Harshvardhan’s acting is at par with Clint Eastwood’s performance in many western movies of that time. An engaging revenge drama.Must watch #TharReview pic.twitter.com/8pt9NwHtB3
