In a horrifying incident, the body of a 26-year-old woman was discovered chopped and stored in a refrigerator inside an apartment in Bengaluru’s Vyalikaval area.
The body, which had been cut into 30 pieces, was discovered after neighbors alerted authorities to a foul smell coming from the apartment.
Satish Kumar, the Additional Commissioner of Police (West), confirmed that the victim’s identity has been established. “We will give more information after an initial investigation. She had been living in Bengaluru, though she originally belonged to another state,” he said.
A team of forensic experts, including dog squads and fingerprint analysts, has been deployed to secure the crime scene. Investigators from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) have also been called in to assist with collecting evidence.
